Welcome. By using Nalanda Prompts at https://www.nalandaprompts.com you agree to these terms. We try to keep them human and short.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 if you are in the EU). By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement and that the email you provide is yours.
2. Closed beta
The site is currently invite-only. Invite codes are one-shot. Sharing your invite link with someone you do not personally vouch for is contrary to the spirit of the beta and we may revoke unused invites at our discretion.
3. What you can do
- Post prompts, responses, and comments that you authored or have permission to share.
- Vote on, bookmark, and fork prompts other people have shared.
- Use prompts you find here in your own work (subject to the source license attached to each prompt).
4. What you cannot do
- Post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or designed to bypass an AI model's safety guardrails (jailbreaks, malware-generation prompts, child-sexual content, etc).
- Post copyrighted content you do not have permission to share.
- Scrape or automate the site beyond what robots.txt permits.
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.
- Use the service to send spam.
- Attempt to compromise the service or other users' accounts.
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules. ADMINs may hide content from public listings; severely offending accounts may be deleted.
5. Your content
You own what you post. By posting you grant Nalanda Prompts a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to display, reproduce, and distribute your content as part of the service (including in search results, in social-card previews, and on the front page). You can revoke this license by deleting your content or your account, after which we will no longer display it (cached copies on third-party services are out of our control).
You are responsible for your content. If you post someone else's prompt without permission, that is your liability.
6. The "prompt-curator" bot
Our automated curator publishes prompts scraped from public sources (Anthropic Cookbook, OpenAI Cookbook, PromptingGuide.ai, awesome-chatgpt-prompts, Hacker News). Each curator post links back to the original source. The underlying license of the source applies to the prompt itself. The wrapper text (title, description) is rewritten by Claude Sonnet but the prompt body inside the code block is left verbatim.
If you are the rights holder of source content and you do not want it republished here, send a takedown to dmca@nalandaprompts.com with the six elements required by 17 USC 512(c)(3) (or your local equivalent):
- A signature (electronic is fine).
- Identification of the work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the material on our site to be removed (a URL is best).
- Your contact info.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the rights holder or authorized to act for one.
We will respond within 48 hours and remove qualifying content.
7. DMCA agent
For now, dmca@nalandaprompts.com is the designated agent. We may register formally with the US Copyright Office at a later date.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uptime, that prompts you find here will work for your use case, or that AI model outputs will be accurate, safe, or legal in your context. You are responsible for testing prompts in your own environment before relying on them.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) AUD $20 or (b) what you have paid us in the past 12 months (which is currently zero, since the service is free).
10. Termination
You can terminate your account any time via /settings. We can terminate your account if you violate these terms. On termination, your personal data is handled per the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes
If we change these terms we will update the date above. Material changes will be flagged in-app with at least 14 days' notice before they take effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of NSW unless another forum is required by your local consumer-protection law.
