About Nalanda Prompts
Nalanda Prompts is a community for prompt engineers to share, refine, and discover AI prompts.
We are inspired by the ancient university of Nalanda (~427 CE), a place where scholars gathered to share knowledge across languages and disciplines. Modern prompt engineering deserves the same: a venue where craftspeople can post their best work, attribute their sources, and learn from each other.
What you'll find here
- Curated prompts sourced from official documentation (Anthropic Cookbook, OpenAI Cookbook, PromptingGuide.ai) and community repositories. Our "prompt-curator" bot publishes a small daily batch with full attribution.
- Community prompts from members. Each prompt can be voted on, bookmarked, forked, and discussed.
- Tags and categories for browsing by AI model, technique, or domain.
How it works
- Prompts have a wrapper (title + 1-2 sentence description) and a body (the actual prompt text in a code block).
- The wrapper can be polished; the body is sacred. We never modify a curated prompt's text, only the wrapper around it.
- Each post links back to its original source.
How to join
Closed beta is invite-only. Join the waitlist and we will reach out when there's a spot.
Who built this
A solo project from a developer in Australia who got tired of losing good prompts in scattered chat histories, GitHub gists, and Slack DMs.
